Neighbourhood Plan Referendum Result

The Drayton Parslow Parish Council is delighted to announce that our community has voted in favor of the Neighbourhood Plan. We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who came out to vote.

With a majority “YES” vote, the Drayton Parslow Neighbourhood Plan officially becomes part of the development plan effective 25 October 2024. This statutory planning document will guide Buckinghamshire Council in making informed decisions about planning applications within our parish.

As a sustainable settlement, we will be allocated future development sites. Thanks to the Neighbourhood Plan, our community now has greater influence over the type, scale, and impact of new development. This plan will help ensure that housing types and tenures are appropriate for our setting, and that each development brings meaningful community and environmental benefits. Additionally, we will receive 25% of the Neighbourhood Community Infrastructure Levy, which will directly support improvements in our parish.

We are grateful to all stakeholders and residents who participated in events and consultations, sharing valuable insights that have shaped the plan. Special thanks go to past and present community members who dedicated themselves to the Steering Group over the past eight years. Through their expertise and local knowledge, they have worked tirelessly to research, formulate policies, and collaborate with Buckinghamshire Council to bring this plan to life.

The Parish Council is confident that the Neighbourhood Plan will bring meaningful benefits to our parish, supporting our goals in housing, environment, traffic, heritage, community facilities, and the local economy.
